Punainen Risti Ensiapu is part of the preparedness and response framework of the Finnish Red Cross as well as the the whole country. By participating in a first aid course organised by the Red Cross, you are part of the important chain of aid.

The first aid courses of the Red Cross are certified. The quality of our courses is monitored and audited by an independent third party. This is to ensure that the content of our courses complies with the instructions and requirements and that their quality is uniform across Finland.
Our experts continuously evaluate and develop our first aid courses so that you can count on receiving high-quality training and course content. The certified FRC first aid courses always comply with the latest recommendations and existing legislation and standards.
We employ the best first aid instructors in Finland. Each of our instructors has an First Aid Instructor qualification. All of our instructors are licensed health care professionals who have completed the instructor training as further training in accordance with the Red Cross training programmes. Our instructors maintain their qualifications by taking part in further training every three years. This ensures the training we offer is always compliant and of high-quality.
All the first aid courses organised in accordance with the Red Cross first aid training programmes are certification courses. After passing the course, the participant’s information is entered in the Competence Register and the participant receives a first aid certificate, which is valid for three years. Our courses always include a FRC first aid certificate, which allows you to verify your competence in giving first aid, for example, at the workplace and leisure activities or for client companies.
After successfully completing the course, you will receive your certificate card from the open Red Cross first aid course by post. You can also get a mobile certificate through the MyCertificate application, which means you can always have your certificate with you and present it when needed.
You can update your valid FRC First Aid Course EA 1® or FRC First Aid Course EA 2® qualification by taking the FRC Emergency First Aid Course 4 h or FRC Emergency First Aid Course 8 h course as well as the FRC Emergency First Aid Course 4 h online course and FRC Emergency First Aid Course 8 h online course. The qualification is valid for three years.
You can take the refresher course once, after which you need to retake the original FRC first aid course.rnrnIf your qualification has expired, you can get a valid certificate by retaking the FRC First Aid Course EA 1®
